Artist David Salle was born in Norman, Oklahoma in 1952. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. When he first began painting and moved to New York, he comments, “I made my work for a small audience of friends, other artists mostly.” Today Salle is best known for his postmodernist and neo-expressionist painting.
